Editorial Policy
How TravelOffice researches, writes, reviews, updates and corrects travel information.
Purpose
TravelOffice publishes content to help travellers make practical decisions about flights, airports and the wider journey. Pages should answer a real travel question and should not exist only to repeat a keyword.
Sources
Primary and official sources are preferred for information that can change, including airline policies, airport operations, government requirements, school calendars and public holidays. Secondary sources may be used for context, but should not override the authority responsible for the rule.
Fares and schedules
Flight prices, schedules and availability are dynamic. TravelOffice does not present a changing fare as a permanent fact. Live search results should be checked again before payment, including baggage, airport codes and the final itinerary.
Updates
Pages receive an updated date when they are materially reviewed. TravelOffice does not change dates merely to create a false freshness signal. High-risk or frequently changing topics should be reviewed more often than evergreen planning advice.
Corrections
Material factual errors should be corrected when identified. A correction request should include the page URL, the disputed statement and a primary source where possible. See the corrections policy for the process.
Commercial independence
Affiliate or search relationships should not determine the factual conclusion of an editorial guide. Where the site may benefit commercially from an eligible completed booking, that does not change the requirement to describe fare, airport and trip-planning trade-offs accurately.
