Who is responsible

TravelOffice™ is owned and operated by Tantris Travel and Conferences (Pty) Ltd. Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@tantris.co.za. This policy explains the information handled directly by TravelOffice™ and the circumstances in which third-party search, analytics, hosting or booking providers may process information separately.

Website and technical information

TravelOffice™ processes the technical information reasonably required to operate, secure and improve the website. Hosting, server logs and security systems may record standard details such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referring pages, date and time, and diagnostic information.

Flight-search information

When you use the flight search, the route, dates, passenger selections and related search inputs may be transmitted to the search technology and participating travel providers required to return results. TravelOffice™ currently uses Travelpayouts affiliate technology for parts of the search experience.

Passenger identity documents and payment-card information used to complete a booking should be submitted only through the secure checkout of the airline, agency or travel provider shown during the booking process. TravelOffice™ does not ask users to email payment-card details.

Affiliate links and attribution

Some links and search tools are affiliate links or promotional tools. Travelpayouts, participating advertisers and booking providers may use identifiers, cookies or similar technologies to attribute an eligible booking or other action to TravelOffice™. Their own privacy and cookie policies govern information they process independently.

Contact information

If you email or telephone TravelOffice™, the information you provide is used to respond to the enquiry, keep an appropriate record of the communication and protect legitimate business interests. Do not send unnecessary passwords, card details or identity documents by ordinary email.

Analytics, cookies and similar technologies

Where analytics, affiliate attribution or similar technologies are enabled, they may collect usage and device information. See the Cookie Policy for more detail about first-party and third-party cookies and how they relate to flight-search and affiliate functions.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, search or other service providers where reasonably necessary to operate TravelOffice™. When you proceed to a third-party airline or booking provider, that provider processes the information you submit to it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Retention and security

TravelOffice™ aims to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, legal or accounting obligations, dispute handling and security. Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information under our control, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Applicable South African privacy law may give you rights concerning personal information held about you, including requesting access or correction in appropriate circumstances. Send a privacy request to info@tantris.co.za with enough information for us to identify and respond to the request.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. A material update will be reflected by the updated date shown on the site.
